Caring – Outreach

Opportunities to care for one another in God’s Love

Women’s Health Support Group - This group of women encourage one another in making healthy decisions and taking necessary actions regarding their health (physical, spiriutal or emotional). They meet every Tuesday from 11:00am to noon.

 Grief Support  – Grief is the process you go through as you adjust to the loss of anyone important in your life.  The loss of a job, a move, divorce, death of someone you love, or change in health status are just a few of the situations that can cause grief.  If you are experiencing grief in your life or know of someone who is, contact Roselyn Olson at the church office.   

Prayer Chain – The Prayer Chain receives  requests from members and friends of St. Luke’s. If you desire prayer for a specific need, for yourself, a loved one or friend, call the church office and ask to be put on the Prayer Chain.  All names are kept confidential.

Prayer Team Ministry  -The Prayer Team is available to pray with you. This ministry helps persons in need turn to God and invite Him to help them in their various needs for healing, especially physical and emotional healing. The Prayer Team Ministry not only offers services to those in our congregation but also to individuals and groups in the community. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please contact the church office.

Care Team Ministry – A team of volunteers who seek to provide appropriate, competent, compassionate and consistent service to older adults and others with similar needs. Provide friendship to home bound individuals. Assistance with shopping, transportation, respite for family care givers and light household or yard chores. If you would like more information on this ministry, please contact Roselyn Olson, Associate in Ministry, at the church office.

Eucharistic Ministry- This ministry provides communion to those who are homebound, hospitalized or otherwise unable to come to Sunday services and receive The Lord’s Supper.

Visitations – Our Visitation Ministry provides ministry to those in hospitals, those who are in nursing homes, group homes, and other shut-ins who cannot attend church services, and/or those who request visitation from our staff for special and/or urgent purposes.  If you know of a need for a visitation,  please call the church office.
