Fellowship and Social Goal

One of the definitions of fellowship is "... a mutual sharing, a group with the same interests..." While St. Luke's is a place where people gather to worship, it is also a place that people grow closer with their neighbors in Christ. Fellowship activities throughout the year help us form those friendships with people both in our church community and our neighboring community.

Our goal is to provide each member of St. Luke's with an opportunity to participate in fellowship and activities where the emphasis is on getting to know one another and building relationships by which the ministry of St. Luke's can be supported.

Fellowship and Social Highlights

Monthly Coffee Groups

Are you a member of a Parish Life monthly coffee group?  All members of St. Luke's are divided up into nine different groups. These groups each take one month of the year and provide the coffee and "goodies" that are available for all between services.  If you are a member of St. Luke's and haven't been assigned to a monthly group, please call the church office and let them know.  We will get you assigned.  If you are a friend and attending services at St. Luke's and would like to be a part of this ministry, you are more than welcome.  Call the church office and let them know.

What are you interested in?

Please take advantage of the opportunity to join a “smaller church”.  Small groups that gather around special interests and relationships can become the church to one another in powerful and precious ways.  Here are some of the ideas we have come up with; your suggestions for any others are welcome..

Young Adult (single people and couples without children); Yoga; Single Parent Support;  Retirement; Men’s Study/Social Opportunities; Women’s Study/Social Opportunities;  Sport Team; Mom and Dad with small children (support/learning group); Grief Support Group; Care Team Ministry; Monthly Dining Groups; Prayer Shawl Ministry; Home Study Group (with material being provided); Card and Game Night; Geographic Groups for learning/social activities (held in your area); Book Study on particular topic

Please check the list over carefully and decide where your interests lie.  The sign-up sheets are in the narthex or call the church office for more information.

"Where two or more are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Matthew 18:20
