Kid's Holiday Store |
A community service project it is a powerful witness to all on what "giving" is meant to be. Kid's Holiday Store (KHS) is a brief encounter with families that need help. It is a brief moment that takes them away from their current living situations and allows them to play and fulfill a simple Christmas wish. Most of us can walk into a store and buy at least one desire or want. Most of these families cannot do this except one day a year at KHS. |

Crossroads Feeding Program |
One of St. Luke’s ministries is to help feed the Eastside’s hungry the third Monday of each month. The meal is prepared and served by St. Luke’s volunteers at the Crossroads Community Service Center. We are presently seeking people who feel they would like to help contribute to this cause. Our needs include people to help prepare, serve and/or donate money. We serve about 75 people each time. Food preparation time is flexible, and serving time is approximately one hour beginning at 5:30-6:30 p.m. (For those able, we work in teams, with each team responsible for a different month of the year, so a team prepares and serves about two or three times a year.)
