Worship at St. Luke’s is intended to be an opportunity for people to experience the presence of God in a variety of ways and music is at the very heart of it. We strive to provide a worship experience that touches everyone through singing, bells, adult and children’s choirs, special music services, community events and so much more.
“Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.” Psalm 95: 1,6-7
Music Ministry Opportunities
Share your musical talent!
All musicians and vocalists are encouraged to inquire about participating. Sharing your gifts of music is a wonderful way to contribute to the worship of God.
Rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 8:45 p.m.and participates in worship three out of four weekends per month. This group not only prepares music for worship, but spends time in prayer together at the end of rehearsal. We enjoy caring for one another, spending time in fellowship and praying for our families and those in the congregation who are in need.
Rehearses on Thursday evenings from 6:15 to 7:30p.m. and participates in worship once per month and for special services in the seasons of Lent/Easter and Advent/Christmas. We have fun as the Lord helps us grow musically. This group has a limited membership so check to see if there is an opening at any time. We also are in need of substitute ringers from time to time as well.
Musicians, Ensembles, Soloist
If you play an instrument or would like to contribute to worship through singing in a small ensemble or solo, we have many opportunities to do so. We use solos, ensembles and instrumentalists each Sunday during the summer months as well, when the choirs are not in session. Offer your musical gifts to the Lord in worship.
Informal Worship Team
Rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 – 9:00pm and leads the 11:00 AM Informal Worship Service each Sunday
